RP Witt Construction offers Design Development Service to help our clients achieve a cost-efficient and buildable project. The Design Development Stage is the optimal opportunity to implement value-engineering on a project using our experienced team.

As the architect is in the process of moving the schematic design to the construction document design we collaborate on the cost, material selection, and constructability. The selection of construction means and methods is also highly important for schedule-driven projects, such as utilizing tilt wall and precast concrete systems in lieu of masonry and cast-in-place concrete. We also assist the Architect in managing and coordinating all other consultant drawings and reports from the Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, MEP Design, Acoustical Engineer, and Landscape Architect. One example of our coordination efforts is our team facilitates structural design and MEP overlay meetings. During the coordination we identify any conflicts with structural components and mechanical, plumbing, & electrical issues. If potential issues are not identified early these conflicts can stop a project waiting on an RFI response. Our experience and proactive approach in the design development stage is a huge success factor for the overall project.
